Today, the Ken Calvert for Congress campaign announced that the Corona Police Officers’ Association has endorsed Congressman Ken Calvert in the 42nd Congressional District.
“I’m honored to receive the endorsement of the Corona Police Officers’ Association and work with them to keep our community safe,” said Calvert. “I reject the calls of Democrats, including my opponent Liam O’Mara, to defund the police and reduce the number of peace officers on our streets. Far too many cities across America are falling prey to violence and chaos in their streets. I will stand with our law enforcement officers to maintain law and order because we can’t afford to let this mayhem spread to our neighborhoods.”
“Ken Calvert is a proven supporter of local law enforcement and we are happy to endorse his election to the House of Representatives,” said Corona Police Officers’ Association President John Healy. “There’s nothing more important than keeping our community safe, which is why we need to elect leaders – like Ken – who will reject calls to defund the police and fight for law and order.”
The Corona Police Officers Association (CPOA) is a professional police organization comprised of dedicated men and women with the Corona Police Department. CPOA strives to strengthen the community where they reside and serve through partnerships with local businesses and community groups.
Ken Calvert is a former small business owner and the current U.S. Representative in California’s 42nd Congressional District. The 42nd District encompasses the western edge of Riverside County, including the cities of Eastvale, Corona, Murrieta, Menifee, and a portion of Temecula.
